The Embassy of Angola in the UAE is distinguished with the award of Excellence
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of the United Arab Emirates recently distinguished the Angolan Embassy in this Arabian Gulf country with the “Excellence” award.
The award of “Excellence” for the diplomatic missions accredited in the UAE was presented on September 5, 2023, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this Arab country, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the Counsellor of this Diplomatic Mission, Francisco Kaluvi, who represented Ambassador Júlio Maiato.
The Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Abu Dhabi – UAE received the prestigious award at the 4th edition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Excellence” Awards Ceremony.
The award is granted under the Government Excellence Program, created in 1999 by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the then President of the United Arab Emirates, and by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, to enable the UAE public sector to stand out for its systems, performance, services and results.
The “Government Excellence Program” seeks to strengthen the federal government’s role to improve its performance as a way to achieve the UAE’s objectives.
The launch of the “Performance Excellence System” and other continuous development initiatives aim to develop a culture of innovation, loyalty and Excellence among all public servants, providing an investment-friendly environment in support of the country’s sustainable development and prosperity.
Among the categories of the Excellence Award, the following stand out: “Institutional Excellence”, “Excellent Department in the Institutional and Services Sector”, “Excellent Department in the Political and Specialized Sector”, “Best Department in the Area of Training”, “Environment of Happier Work”, “Excellent Section in the Institutional and Services Sector”, as well as “Excellent Section in the Political and Specialized Sector”, “Super UAE Embassy”, “Excellent UAE Embassy” and “Excellent UAE Consulate”. There is also a Career category that highlights the “Excellent Diplomat”.
The award “Excellent Cooperation” is given to Diplomatic Missions accredited in the UAE that distinguished themselves through their efforts to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Prize in question was also awarded to the Diplomatic Missions of Saudi Arabia, Chile, Dominica, Egypt, the United States, Iraq, Mozambique and the United Kingdom.
